Dr. Obaseki, Tony Ikponmwosa is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Science and Technology, and the University Library at Kampala International University- Western Campus.
Before joining KIU in 2018, Dr. Obaseki was a lecturer at the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma-Nigeria for ten years, in the Department of Library and Information Science. While at Ambrose Alli, he also served as the Ag. Head of Electronic Library Department & Systems Librarian and as the Ag. Head of Research Collection, Systems Development, and Electronic Library Department & Systems Librarian.
He is a Member and Certified Librarian with the Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria, since 2012. He is also a member of the International Research and Development Institute: Research and Development Network since 2010.
Dr. Obaseki has published 31 articles in the journals, two books of one chapter each, organized six conferences, attended 25 conferences, delivered six academic speeches and won the Dr. Sam Jimba 2014 Fellowship for Young Library and Information Professionals. He also visited Five Libraries in Warsaw and Krakov in Poland from 18th April to 2nd May, 2014.
Dr. Obaseki is a Doctor of Philosophy in Library and Information Science (Ph.D). He has a Masters in Library and Information Science (MLS), Bachelor's Degree in Library Science (BLS), Diploma in Library Science (DLS) and a Certificate in General Computing.
