Dr. Stephen Ndubuisi Nnamchi is
currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, School
of Engineering and Applied Sciences of Kampala International University,
Kampala, Uganda with specialty in Thermofluid Engineering, Renewable Energy
Systems Design, Thermal Systems Design, Systems Modelling and Simulation, and
Energy Economics. He holds dual Master’s Degree (M.Eng) in Mechanical and
Chemical Engineering, and Doctorate Degree (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering
(Thermofluids) at University of Port Harcourt, Port Harcourt, Nigeria in 2001,
2005 and 2014, respectively. He is a registered Engineer with American Society
of Mechanical Engineers (ASME - USA), Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE -
Nigeria), Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN-Nigeria) and
Engineering Registration Board (ERB - Uganda). Also, he is a member; Nigerian
Institute of Safety Professional (NISP), Institute of Safety Professionals of
Nigeria, and Society for Underground water Technology.
Dr. Stephen Ndubuisi Nnamchi has over
13 years of post-qualification experience in teaching, learning and research in
applied thermofluids, research methods, thermodynamics, momentum/heat/mass
transfer, modelling and operations research, alternative energy systems design,
and general engineering courses with ample publications in these areas. Also,
Dr. Stephen Ndubuisi Nnamchi is skillful in; software development (programming
languages: C++, FORTRAN, VIS-FORTRAN,
MATLAB, etc) and its application in solving engineering problems; use of
application software (Microsoft Office
Package, AutoCAD, Origin 7.0, SPSS, EViews, etc) in performing researches,
and in curriculum development. He holds IWCF supervisory certificate in rotary
well drilling, 2013; and practical experience in oil and gas industry, which
blends with his academic experience.
OBJECTIVE
Translation of taught knowledge into essential
products for human and community development via extensive research, scholarly
delivery and clarion community service.
