Christine Asekenye is an Accountant (Cashier) at Kampala International University (KIU). She has over ten years of experience in receiving and verifying fees, fines levied, cheques and bank drafts from students whilst effectively recording them in the cheque register and ensuring timely banking. She is also involved in ensuring safe custody of both cash and cheques, timely banking, the filing of accounting records including paid vouchers and supporting documents, and the verifying of bills submitted to Finance Department before payments are effected. She is very experienced in Finance and Administration.  

Christine holds a Master of Business Administration and a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management from Uganda Management Institute. She also holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Makerere University, and a Diploma in Business Administration from the Institute of Teacher Education Kampala.  

She has worked as a Finance and Administration Assistant (Part-time) at Cyber Webs Computer Centre Ltd – Kampala, an Assistant Accountant (Inventory Analysis Department) at Afri-Asia Enterprises (U) Ltd. Kampala, a Finance and Administrative Assistant - Rorash Educational Publishers Ltd Kampala, and a Data Entrant JOIBASO Publishers Ltd Kampala.   Christine has skills and experience in the use of Tally ERP 9 computerized Accounting package, Budget preparation, implementation & control of budget following policies & procedures. She is an effective communicator with strong team working skills, and is also dynamic, ambitious, takes initiative, and is willing to learn while being open to new challenges.
