Nathan Byamukama is a Librarian at Kampala International University (KIU)-Western Campus. He is acting Head of Electronic Resources Section/ Supervisor of E-Resources Section Operations. He is also in charge of the downloading and reviewing of Electronic books before their upload on servers or stand-alone computers for use by students/ staff / lecturers at the University. Byamukama provides access to soft copy books and general circulation of non-print library collections, organizes and participates in capacity building training sessions for library staff members and training of other library users.
He holds a Bachelor of Library and information Science (Hons) from Makerere University.
Before joining KIU in 2014, Byamukama first worked with Docubank Uganda Ltd as a Document Management Officer where he was in charge of digitization or converting paper based records into electronic ones, classification of records both paper and electronic and capturing day to day records and stacking related ones according to their subject. In 2012, he participated in the mobilization campaign against Measles and Polio in areas of Kamwokya and Kyebando in Kampala City organized by the Ministry of Health-Uganda & Lions Club International. He won the AIDS essay writing competition in 2011 December in celebrations to mark AIDS day at Makerere University.
He is interested in meeting and working with people of different cultures and norms.
