Ms. Nabbanja Teddy is a PhD candidate in Management Information Systems at Kampala International University (KIU). She has a Master’s Degree in Systems Software Engineering, Completed Cisco Certified Network Associate and a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, all from KIU.
She has more than 15 years of experience in computer science, which dates back to the different trainings she has had since 2004. Between July to September 2004, she had training in network configuration, setup and administration under UNIX. Practiced in computer repairs, installation and configuration of hardware devices like printers, scanners among others. Maintaining data security and integrity of an organization’s network setup especially where machines are connected to internet.
She was later awarded a Certificate of a trainee from Jobscan Training Centre, workers house annex.
In 2005, she got a Certificate of trainee from Service and Computer Industries (NCR) where she was trained in data backup and data transfers, taking all the necessary precautions to avoid data loss and data corruption. Covered introduction to networks, network cable types, protocols, network devices and how-to setup networks.
Teddy was first recruited as a teaching assistant at KIU in February 2007 and promoted into a lecturer in 2009- to date. She was the Head of Department for Computer Science between 2011 to 2014.
She has also ever been a Member of Faculty Teaching and Learning Improvement committee at KIU (July 2011 to 2014). She was Head of curriculum review in the Computer Science department and, Head of Faculty Teaching and Learning Improvement committee at the same institution.
Teddy’s hobbies are Reading newspapers, magazines, journals, Bible. She is very much interested in Internet surfing and also Interacting with people and traveling.
