MASEMBE MUZAMIL is an Assistant Lecturer at Kampala International University (KIU) Uganda. He lectures, sets, and administers students examinations, whilst also supervising research both to Degree and Diploma students in the fields of Accounting, Finance, Management and Marketing. Prior to that, he was the Head of Department (Business and Management) (2010 – 2012), and a Faculty Administrator (Business and Management) at Kampala International University – Dar es Salaam Campus (2009 – 2010).
Masembe is a Certified Public Accountant of Uganda (CPAU). He holds a Masters in Business Administration (Accounting and Finance) from Kampala International University in Dar-es-Salaam - Tanzania, a Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Management at Higher Education from Islamic University in Uganda, and a Bachelor of Management Science (Accounting) from Kyambogo University Kampala–Uganda. Masembe also holds a Certificate in computer applications from Makerere Business Institute (MBI), has trained in Adult teaching methodologies pedagogy with Kampala International University, trained in Donor handling with Uganda Red Cross Society in conjunction with PEPFA and CID, and also trained in Project planning and management of nongovernmental organizations at the University of Dar-es-Salaam. He is proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Access, Excel, Internet skills, PowerPoint, and also Motor vehicle driving.
His areas of expertise include Business analysis and new venture development, Leadership, capacity and team building for organizational development, the Ability to train, coach and mentor other team member, Advocacy and networking, the Ability to plan and schedule activities for the smooth operation of an organization, Strategic planning and organization development, Fundraising, and proposal development and writing.
Masembe enjoys watching and playing football, surfing, reading newspapers and socializing with friends in his free time, but most importantly, he endeavours to contribute to general economic growth whilst empowering people to develop themselves.
