Dr. Asiati Mbabazi is the University Secretary of Kampala International University and an accomplished education administrator with extensive experience in higher education governance, institutional administration, human resource management, and academic leadership.

She provides strategic oversight of the University's governance and administrative systems, ensuring effective implementation of institutional policies, regulatory compliance, and efficient coordination of Senate, Council, and management functions. Through her leadership, she plays a pivotal role in strengthening institutional governance, operational excellence, and stakeholder engagement across the University.

Dr. Mbabazi holds a PhD from Kampala International University, a Master's degree in Education Management and Administration from Kampala International University, a Bachelor of Education (Honours) from Makerere University, and a Diploma in Secondary Education from National Teachers College Kakoba. Her academic foundation, combined with extensive administrative experience, has positioned her as a respected leader in higher education management.

Prior to her appointment as University Secretary, she served as Campus Administrator for Kampala International University Western Campus and Hospital Administrator at Kampala International University Teaching Hospital, where she successfully coordinated institutional operations, administrative systems, and human resource functions. Earlier in her career, she held several leadership positions in secondary education, including Deputy Head Teacher in charge of Academics, where she contributed significantly to curriculum management, staff supervision, and academic quality assurance.

Dr. Mbabazi serves on several strategic governance and management committees within the University, including the Special Purpose Management Committees on Human Resource, Finance and ICT, Academic Affairs, and Research, Innovations and Grants. She also chairs the University's Payroll Committee and has served on staff performance appraisal and disciplinary committees, contributing to institutional accountability, policy implementation, and organizational development.

An active scholar, Dr. Mbabazi has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed publications focusing on higher education access, educational management, leadership, research methodology, and social development. Her research demonstrates a strong commitment to improving educational opportunities, particularly for underserved communities, while advancing evidence-based policy and institutional practice.
