ICPAU Signs KIU to Host Upcoming Examinations

ICPAU Signs KIU to Host Upcoming Examinations

Kampala International University (KIU) is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (M.O.U) with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) to provide facilities and services for professional examinations.

The agreement, signed on Wednesday, 20th August 2025, marks a significant milestone in KIU’s commitment to supporting academic excellence and professional development across Uganda.

Under this partnership, KIU will host Certified Public Accountant Examination (CPA Exam) sessions for approximately 250 candidates during the August and December, 2025 examination periods.

As per the agreement, KIU will provide fully equipped computer laboratories, adequate car parking space for candidates and invigilators, clean and accessible toilet and handwashing facilities, sufficient toilet paper and a reliable standby power source to ensure uninterrupted examination sessions.

ICPAU Signs KIU to Host Upcoming Examinations

This collaboration reflects KIU’s dedication to cultivating a conducive learning environment not only for its students but also for external academic and professional bodies.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by key representatives from both institutions. From ICPAU: CPA Charles Bahakwonka Byaruhanga, Director Education and CPA Justus Turinawe, Senior Examinations Officer.

Representing KIU were: Prof. Muhammed Ngoma, Vice Chancellor; Dr. Mundu Mustafa, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Finance & Administration); Prof. Regina Idu Ejemot-Nwadiaro, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research, Innovation, Consultancy, and Extension (RICE); Christine Ainebyoona, Deputy University Secretary & Campus Administrator; Rashid Kwizera, University Legal Officer and Dr. Derrick Ssekajugo, Principal, College of Economics and Management.
