KIU, Main Campus - On 9th March 2020, the main campus kicked off its annual Inter-college debate. The competition, which was founded in 2017, will be held under the theme: "African Youth."
This debate, according to the Rozius Kengiri, the Student Guild Minister of Education, is aimed at enlightening the youth about the different challenges and opportunities before them and how they can build upon them to hasten the development of the African continent.
He added that the debate also intends to enhance the intellectual ability of students from different colleges and schools.
“We actually intend to enhance the intellectual ability of students from different colleges because initially debate seemed to belong to the lawyers only,” Rozius said.
Six different colleges and schools have been confirmed as participants in this debate competition.
Although, the School of Law have been perennial champions in this debate series, the College of Humanities plans to give them a run for their money this year.
