KIU, Main Campus - As of Sunday, 29th March 2020, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Uganda had risen to 33. This was after the Ministry of Health, on Sunday evening, confirmed three more patients infected with the virus.
This came barely a day after the same Ministry confirmed seven new cases, raising the number from the initial 23 to 30 by Saturday 28th March 2020.
Out of 206 samples tested on Sunday, 203 tested negative, while three posted positive. All these have been in institutional quarantine.

As the fast spreading virus continues to drown thousands of lives around the world, the Ministry of Health has continued to appeal to the general public to remain calm but be vigilant and practice the preventive measures provided to them.
Globally, the Coronavirus has affected 199 countries around the world, registering about 638,146+ cases, with over 30,039+ deaths according to the World Health Organization.
To date, Uganda has not registered any death of COVID-19.
