KIU's 18th Graduation Ceremony


Kampala International University (KIU) on Saturday 23rd June 2018, held her 18th graduation ceremony at the main campus in Ggaba Road, Kasanga, Kampala, Uganda. Over 2600 students were awarded graduate and postgraduate degrees and diplomas in various fields of study. The ceremony was graced by His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the Chairman Board of Trustees of KIU, Al-haj Hassan Basajjabalaba, the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Mouhamad Mpezamihigo, the Deputy Vice-Chancellors, among other notable personalities.

In his address, President Museveni applauded the institution for thus far they have gone in exploring the heights with higher education in Uganda. Shouts of joy and ululations filled the premises as friends and family members of graduands came en masse to celebrate with their own, on their special day. Worthy of note was a landmark that was made in the School of Law where for the first time a student by name, graduated with a First class, a height that has never been attained since inception. The Vice Chancellor who congratulated the graduating students encouraged them to go out, shine, and make KIU proud as great ambassadors cum alumni of the institution.
