Bachelor of Science in Industrial Chemistry
Objectives the Programme
The objective of the BScICH is to prepare graduates to enter and be successful in the chemical engineering profession. Graduates are expected to become licensed professional engineers and to reach responsible positions in a wide range of professional settings including consulting firms, industry or government. As well,this program will prepare students to begin and complete graduate studies in engineeringandpost-baccalaureate education in a professional degree program. Specifically, the objectivesof the programme are to equip students with appropriate knowledge and skills to enable them to:
- Provide a broad knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of Industrial Chemistry and the ability to apply that knowledge and understanding to solve physical problems;
- Enable students express their ideas clearly and cogently in both written and verbal form;
- insure high quality education in Industrial Chemistry within a stimulating and supportive environment committed To excellence in Industrial Chemistry (theoretical, experimental, computational, research and community services);
- Educate students the core of Industrial Chemistry areas at the necessary depth, while they are encouraged to be critically receptive to new ideas and to attain their full academic potential;
- Equip students with a sound base of knowledge and understanding in Industrial Chemistry;
- Expose students to the applications of physical principles in various branches of Industrial Chemistry;
