Master of Science in Civil Engineering

Admission Requirements

Admission to the Master of Science in Civil Engineering (MScCE) program shall be done in accordance with Kampala International University procedures and regulations in line with the minimum requirements by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE). In addition, a person qualifies for admission provided he/she satisfies minimum requirements of:

  • A postgraduate diploma of at least a credit in a closely related field from a recognized University/Institution
  • A bachelor’s degree of a lower second class degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline from a recognized university with at least two years working experience in a relevant field. Students with first class bachelors do not require any working experience.
  • The relevant disciplines are: Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Land Economics, and Physical Planning.
  • For other disciplines, the Graduate Studies and Research Committee will decide whether civil engineering forms an integral part so as to determine whether candidates from such disciplines qualify to be admitted to the MScCE Programme.
