In life, we remember moments not days and today, was a one to remember.

This afternoon, members of the KIU staff organized a surprise birthday party for one of the University's finest, Prof. Francisca Oladipo, the Director of Research. 

"What a way to start the new year," said the Professor as she tried to hold back her tears of joy. 

Prof. Janice Busingye, the DVC FA, offered that the gesture was a little token of the community's appreciation for Francisca. 

"You don't have to look too far to see the impact that Francisca has made on our community. She's the embodiment of class and grace. We showed up to this occasion to let her know that we see her contribution. We appreciate it and we want to to celebrate this day with her," said Alex Busingye, the KIU Public Relations Officer.

The Director of Research joined KIU in September 2019, and has been responsible for a series of positive developments in the field of research.
