KIU, Main Campus-KIU Titans returned to winning rhythm with an impressive 74-62 over Victoria University Sharing Basketball club on Wednesday evening. Muhammed Abdikani put up an outstanding performance, his best so far, scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds which saw him named ‘Man of the game.’

The Titans went into yesterday’s encounter with no other option apart from winning and putting up a show capable of proving their classification beyond the ordinary and also helping rediscover the tempo in their camp especially after losing over the weekend.

Victoria University fell victim to a hungry and ruthless KIU side that could have had more damage on them if the Titans were a bit more clinical.

Muhammed Abdikani led the assault putting up what will become his first extraordinary performance since he joined the Kansanga based side.

Edgar Munaba maintained his impressive performance, managing the game’s highest 23 points, eight rebounds, and two assists. He was only outmatched by teammate and eventual man of the game Abdkani and only challenged by Victoria’s Maker Mayen who scored 20 points,10 rebounds, and two assists.

Despite his impressive performance, Maker Mayen could not save his team from yet another embarrassing performance, one where they should credit their luck for not going worse but also thank the Titans for yet another basketball lecture.

"The mood in our camp is positive, it was very important to win yesterday's game. l think it was a well-deserved win for us to boost our morale as we look forward to the forthcoming game," said Titans Captain Henry Okoth.

"Every game is equally important for us and we play it the same way regardless," he added.

KIU Titans' next game is against close neighbors Namuwongo Blazers this Friday evening.
