KIU, Western Campus – The Association of Medical Students of KIU (AMSKIU) Advisory Council 2021/2022 has today closed applications for positions on the Interim Electoral Committee, the body responsible for organizing, conducting and supervising the electoral process of the AMSKIU leadership.

The process, which begun on January 19, seeks to fill the positions of Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer and two returning officers.

Jawadu Niwamanya, the Secretary to the Council, is in charge of the process, which will kickstart the process of replacing the outgoing cabinet.

“As noted, the 2021/2022 regime came to an end last year in December. As established by AMSKIU constitution article 14, clause 1 as amended in 2014, with no followed guidance by the E.B (Electoral Board), AMSKIU advisory council as established by article 8 invites interested active members to apply for positions on the interim electoral committee,” Niwamanya communicated in a January 19 communiqué seen by this website.

Interested candidates are required to be active members of AMSKIU, have adequate knowledge about AMSKIU constitution and not be interested in any position in the next AMSKIU leadership.
