Chairman of KIU NRM Chapter Congratulates President Museveni Upon His Inauguration

KIU, Main Campus - Kampala International University(KIU) NRM Chapter Chairman Bosco Praise Tumuramye has congratulated H.E Yoweri  Museveni upon his swearing-in as President of Uganda at Kololo Independence Grounds in Kampala.

In his congratulatory message, Chairman Tumuramye expressed how the President is living proof that determination and hard work make all the difference.

"I know how hard you have worked to make it happen. You deserve all the success that comes with it. Enjoy the rewards that come from your accomplishments," said the NRM Chapter Chairman Tumuramye.

On Wednesday, 12th May 2021, President Yoweri Museveni arrived at Kololo grounds for the swearing-in ceremony for his 6th term, extending his term to 40 years in power.

During the course of the event, the President, escorted by his wife Janet Kataha Museveni, swore to truly and diligently serve Ugandans.

“I do swear that I will always truly and diligently serve the people of the Republic of Uganda," said the President.

In honor of this occasion, he was handed the instruments of power including; the national flag, the presidential standard flag, the national anthem, the National Court of Arms, and the public seal from the Chief Justice. He was also handed the national defence tools that is; a shield and the sword by the Chief of Defence Forces, Gen David Muhoozi.

To round off the occasion, the newly sworn-in President was congratulated with a 21-gun salute.
