COVID-19 Updates: Eight Discharged As Uganda Registers 20 Recoveries

KIU, Main Campus – On Wednesday, 15th April, 2020, the Ministry of Health announced the discharge of seven patients from the Mulago National Referral Hospital. Additionally, another patient was discharged from Hoima Regional Referral Hospital. 

According the MOH Twitter account, the patients who have recovered at Mulago National Referral Hospital include "three females and four males." 

The discharge was witnessed by the State Minister of General Duties, Robinah Nabbanja, who added that the recoveries were a sign of hope and confidence in the nation. 

As Uganda seems to be registering success in fighting the pandemic, other East African countries continue to register more cases of the virus. Tanzania on Wednesday reported 29 infections and her total number shoot to 88 cases, Rwanda’s infections stand at 139 after two infections were recorded on Wednesday, whereas Kenya has 225 confirmed cases of Coronavirus.
