Uganda has registered an additional 13 cases of COVID-19 patients from the 1,812 tests done on July 26, the Ministry of Health has announced.
The 13 cases include 5 truck drivers, 7 contacts of previously confirmed cases and an alert from Kampala district.
6 of the COVID-19 positive contacts are from Namisindwa district while the other one is from Arua district and according to the ministry, all 7 were under quarantine at the time the tests were done.
20 foreign truck drivers who tested positive were not allowed to enter the country.
This means that Uganda now has 1,128 cumulative cases of the disease, with 986 recoveries and 2 deaths.
