Uganda will today receive 175,200 COVID-19 vaccines from the COVAX Facility as a donation from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).
“#Uganda is set to receive the second batch of #COVID19 vaccines including 175,200 doses from the #COVAX facility, a donation from French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. These will arrive on Wednesday16th June 2021,” WHO posted yesterday on their Facebook page.
“Logistics of getting the vaccine into Uganda and around the country will be handled by UNICEF Uganda,” the post added.
Uganda has so far registered 65,421 cases of COVID-19 and 459 deaths.
