During the Moot Competitions held during the KIU Law Week 2020 at the Main Campus in Kansanga, Kennedy Kushaba, a Law Student, scooped the medal for "Best Orator."

Moot competitions were introduced at KIU way back in 2017 during the administration of Dr. Abdul Kareem Aziz who served as the Head of Department, School of Law. Three years down the road, KIU has held different moot competitions in different fields like moot in constitutional matters, international and domestic law matters and currently held civil litigation matters.

According to Kennedy, his participation in these competitions has helped him expand his knowledge and capabilities. The three-time medalist and two-time trophy winner says that the moot competitions have shaped him into becoming a "great future advocate and lawyer."

He further explained that he has obtained good research skills, drafting of pleadings, and oratory skills to convince the court as he deems fit.

Lastly, he advised students to always push and attend the moot competitions so that they can gain experience and learn more skills.
