KIU, Main Campus - The Ministry of Education and Sports has relaxed restrictions on schools and universities. With the relaxed restrictions, schools can now operate both day and boarding sections as they reopen for semi-candidate classes.

The restrictions were relaxed on Sunday, February 28, 2021 by the ministry, stating that schools can now fully operate both the boarding and day school sections unlike in the past where only the boarding section was accepted.

"A school that chooses to operate as day and boarding shall make arrangements to ensure that the two categories of learners do not interact physically,” read part of the guidelines.

Furthermore, schools with many students were advised to split the learners into two shifts both the morning and afternoon sessions.

According to the Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) situation report of exams, students are currently doing the 2020 UCE examination.

"The Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) Examinations for the 2020 candidates officially started on March 1st, 2020 with Physics and Fine Art- Paper 2, in the afternoon," stated UNEB.
