KIU, Main Campus - His Highness the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II turned 65 today.

Due to the current state of affairs, the annual Kabaka Birthday Run, which is held in his honor, has been suspended. However, Charles Peter Mayiga, the Kingdom, the Katikkiro in the government of Buganda, urged people to wear their Kabaka run kits as a show of solidarity. 

Mayiga shared his gratitude as well.

''We thank God for the protection He has given our king all these 65 years," he said. "We thank God for the wisdom He bestowed upon our king which has enabled him to initiate programs for the benefit of his people''

Additionally, asked everyone to pray for the king and the country at large.

On 7th April. Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi also donated UGX 100 million to the covid 19 task force which was delivered by his brother, Prince Daudi Kintu Wassajja.
