KIU, Main Campus - Students from the College of Education are mourning the loss of their colleague, David Mujuni, who died suddenly after hitting his head on the ground on Saturday evening - an incident that has left the whole of KIU in agonising disbelief.
The news of Mujuni's sudden death was broken by the president of the KIU Education Students Association, Martin Pinto Sewankambo.
"It is such a tragedy, for death has robbed us of our brother Mujuni David of the History and Luganda Class. Rest In Paradise," President Sewankambo wrote on WhatsApp.
Sewankambo said that Mujuni died shortly after hitting his head on the ground following a sudden attack.
"He Just got a sudden attack which saw him hit his head on the ground after which he immediately started bleeding from the nose and ears before going lifeless," he narrated.
Mujuni, a finalist student of Education at KIU majoring in History and Luganda, has been described by his classmates, other students and former students, as a friendly peace-loving fellow who played, chatted and shared with everyone around him. His death leaves many in disbelief.
Burial arrangements are yet to be communicated. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
