KIU, MAIN CAMPUS - Ndhazano Joshua Ndhote's passion for fairness and justice was ignited at a young age. This driving force led him to pursue a career in law, and in 2011, he enrolled in Kampala International University's (KIU) Bachelor of Laws program.
During his time at KIU, Ndhote was actively involved in the Tuesday weekly Christian Lawyers Fellowships, which became a highlight of his university experience. The faculty's emphasis on self-reliance and perseverance also left an indelible mark on him.
After graduating in 2015, Ndhote's determination and hard work paid off when he passed the pre-entry Bar Course. He has since become a respected Magistrate Grade 1 at Kazo Magistrates Court.
Ndhote credits KIU for providing him with a solid foundation in law, which has enabled him to administer justice without fear or favor. He is proud to be part of a community that values diversity and has made significant contributions to society.
To fresh graduates and students, Ndhote advised, “KIU prepared some of us well for the world and apparently, it is even in better position than it was during our time. You should go out there proud that you went through the best hands”.
As KIU celebrates its 25th anniversary, Ndhote reflects on the university's growth and impact. He believes that KIU has played a vital role in making university education more accessible and demystifying it for many. He hopes that the university will continue to thrive and remain a leading institution in Uganda.
Ndhote's story serves as a testament to the power of hard work, and a commitment to justice. His journey is an inspiration to current and prospective KIU students, demonstrating that with dedication and passion, they too can make a meaningful impact in their chosen careers.
