KIU Main Campus - KIU is still in shock following the untimely death of Adam Rukundo a fourth-year student of law who was discovered murdered in cold blood in his room in Konge Makindye East division on Easter Monday morning.
The postmortem report released late Monday evening suggests that he was clobbered with a harmer "katayibwa" on the head.
His close friends say that Rukundo was last seen on Saturday and it's presumed to be the day when he was murdered in cold blood. The motive of the killers is still unknown and we hope Police will do investigations thereafter.
Students from the school of law are still speechless and in utter shock and are yet to believe this heartbreaking news.
" It's indeed a terrible incident and so absurd," Hillary Baluku, one of the leaders in the KIU Law Society said.
He has been described as a humble, friendly and ever-smart student who loved sports and music.
"This boy was very humble, dressing smartly, but what I can remember very well is he used to come to me reminding me how I fought to get an office, but sincerely speaking this guy was social, he liked football more than other activities," KIU Guild Union President Moses Ebye said.
" It is very sad, I personally knew him, he has been a good man, a fan of basketball, I’m really shocked about his death," Fahad Kyazze, a teaching assistant at the School of Law.
"Adam has been a very active and Corporative law student. His slogan was " A good lawyer is one who knows where to find the law." Daniel Oguti, Class Coordinator year four semester one, KIU School of Law.
The vigil was held in Kawempe at his parent's home on Monday night and Adam Rukundo's body will today be taken to his ancestral home in Kamwege District, Western Uganda where he will be laid to rest.
Sympathy goes to his family, close friends, classmates, and the whole of KIU. May his soul rest in peace.¯¸
