Immediately after being declared winner, Balyamujura pledged to work with his erstwhile competitor Joshua Kingdom, whom he said gave him a good run for his money. He also called for teamwork and commitment towards transforming debate in universities.

"And to everyone, let's get together, all our strengths, ideas together and work towards what's best for the Council and debate in our university environments," Balyamujura said.

In his manifesto, Balyamujura promises to work towards promoting justice and fairness in all debate activities especially when it comes to consideration for participation in different debate tournaments. He intends to engage different debate stakeholders to establish inclusion and equal participation for all.

He also wants to create fair criteria for choosing adjudicators for different debate tournaments in order to end claims of bias that have been raised at previous tournaments. He also plans to strengthen the relationship between the Debate Presidents Council and their partners as well as devising ways of funding and supporting different debate activities in all universities that subscribe to the council.
