KIU, Main Campus - Residents of Kansanga parish, Makindye East division are living in dilemma following the disappearance of water supplied by National Water and Sewerage Corporation.

Many people have since Monday morning taken to water springs in Nabutiti to fetch water that would enable their survival. Several people have been seen in the scramble to access water sources at the Nabutiti and Tebandeke water springs resulting into nearly fierce exchange of arguments and laments.

National Water and Sewerage Corporation announced on Monday evening that some areas along Ggaba road, among which includes Kansanga, would run out of tap water on ongoing unprecedented short comings at the Ggaba-Muyenga pump station.

"I left campus late not thinking all this would happen,’’ one student in the queue was quoted to narrating to friend before being replied by a middle aged lady who explained that water had disappeared the previous night instead.

Efforts to get a word from authorities proved futile though a source close to National Water and Sewerage Corporation admitted that the problem is regrettable and that they are doing whatever it is possible to save the situation.
