KIU, Main Campus - KIU is among over 40 Universities and institutions of higher learning that have embraced this year's Exhibition at UMA show grounds in Lugogo. The three-day event organized by the National Council of Higher Education (NCHE) started on Thursday 22nd September 2022 and will end on Saturday 24th.
The 2022 higher education Exhibition is running under the theme: Enhancement of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment with ODEL (Open Distance and E-Learning ) in Higher Education.
This year's Exhibition, the 13th edition was officially opened by the Deputy speaker of parliament of Uganda, Rt Hon. Thomas Tayebwa was accompanied by several other dignitaries. Mr. Tayebwa toured all University stalls and was mesmerized when he got to KIU's tent.
KIU is displaying different projects with majority coming from the Electrical engineering department, e-learning and the University repository including a virtual display of the magnificent Iddi Basajjalaba Memorial Library.
The solar based cleaning system and Spy Camera Robotics system by Enerst Edozie a student of Electrical engineering were KIU'S standout projects on display on day two.
National Council of higher education has been assessing projects of all Universities and it expected that the best exhibitors will awarded accordingly afterwards. KIU is looking forward to coming home with a bag full of awards.
