KIU, Main Campus- The first semester of the year is underway and it is set to get more interesting in the coming weeks according to a set of activities proposed by the Guild Union.

Guild President Godfrey Agaba and his team have planned a series of activities including the much anticipated Cultural gala, inter-faculty games and elections.

"We will have a fantastic semester, I want to promise all students. We have lined up a number of activities like the cultural gala, we plan to have the sports competition between faculties as well as elections for the new leadership," he said.

Agaba said they have already began serving as usual and encouraged students to always seek help from the Guild office in case of any need.

"We have been open since day one of the semester, now we are welcoming the January intake students but I also want to encourage other students to utilize us where necessary. We are here to serve and we are doing very well," he noted.

Agaba and his team are yet to liaise with the dean of students to set clear dates for the various activities but have secured a go ahead from the University administration.

"We are planning to meet with the dean of students in the next few days and am sure we shall come up with dates for each activity that we plan to do this semester," he promised.

"I want to thank all students KIU students for keeping us shining and I want to wish you the very best this semester."

He also promised that they will do their best in the remaining three months of their term of office to leave a great legacy of service above self.

"Things that we can't do, we shall give recommendations accordingly but what you should know is that we are yet to settle for less," Agaba asserted.
