KIU, Main Campus - The Guild Union has officially announced that the eagerly awaited KIU Cultural Gala for 2024 is scheduled to be held on Saturday, March 2nd. The event will be held at the Main campus starting at 8:00 AM local time.

The Cultural Gala is an annual event that aims to celebrate cultural diversity at KIU. It is an exhibition of culture where students from different ethnic backgrounds showcase their traditions ranging from music, dance, drama, costumes, and food.

According to Enock Ssembalirwa, the speaker of the Guild Union parliament, this year's cultural gala will run on the theme, "Celebrating Cultural Diversity in a Changing Society."

"We chose this theme to address the ever-increasing challenges emanating from our differences in culture but also considering that a lot is changing rapidly nowadays," he said.

"We want to celebrate our heritage and appreciate what makes us different yet we remain the same," he added.

Different cultural associations have begun practice in preparation for this year's cultural gala.

Several associations will be looking at beating the defending Champions Baganda Nkobazabogo who won last year's edition with ease.
