KIU, Main Campus - Kampala International University Students admitted for the April 2021 intake have been initiated during the orientation ceremony that has taken place in the University Main Hall today Friday 7th April 2021.

Students have been urged about their own safety within the university premises and outside, especially in their hostels.

University administrators have encouraged students to continue observing the COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures within the University.

Professor Chukwuemeka Diji, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research, Innovation, Consultancy and Extension, on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, said that students have made a right choice to come to KIU, the University that offers a wide range of opportunities.

"You have made a right choice to come to KIU. Don't allow anyone to convince you to join bad groups," Professor Diji said.

Professor Diji added that students shouldn't abuse their health and character, should fear God, and take time to read the University book so that they are not caught outside the law.

David Muhindo, the Library Assistant at the Iddi Basajjabalaba Memorial Library (IBML), guided students with the library rules, regulations and policies.

Muhindo encouraged students to carry their green cards and library cards bearing their registration number.

In attendance were Schola Kampemuka Busingye, Dean Students Affairs; Jacob Musimenta, the Guild President; and Elizabeth Walabyeki Kyamanywa, the Campus Administrator
