KIU, Main Campus - Thursday's screening of the KIU Law Society candidates that took place in the KIU moot court has reported no failure as all the candidates have been found to be eligible to run for respective offices in the University's most popular academic-based students' society.

Shafic Tumusiime, the KIU Law Society Electoral Commission Chairperson, officially allowed the candy to start underground campaigns but urged them to avoid rallies and congregations before the date of the open air campaigns.

"Now that we have found no reasons to disqualify your candidacy, you can go ahead with underground campaigns until the day for open air campaigns when you will be free to have crowds," Tumusiime said.

"We expect you to be peaceful and obedient to both University and EC regulations as you solicit for support," he added.

Few hours after the screening exercise, agents of different candidates started filling notice boards with their posters while others jubilated in different ways.

The Law Society will vote for the 2022-2023 Executive Board on 4th February 2022.
