The KIU Mass Communication Students Association, in partnership with the publishing house, Kitara Nation, is organizing the KIU poetry competition, with submissions currently ongoing.

The competition, which will be open until May 22, will involve students submitting their poems to the organizing committee via [email protected]. The competition is open for all students and entries must include the participant’s name, course, and registration numbers.

The best 10 poets will be shortlisted for the finals, which will take place on May 26 in 602, New Building, where the winner will be announced.

The calls for submission have been launched by the association President Nkwenkam Momekam Tite and the Publicist Desire Namubiru.
According to Tite, the main aim of the competition is to promote and improve poetry in KIU. The winner will walk away with 500,000 shs.
