Kampala International University through the Department of Journalism and Media Studies in conjunction with Debunk Media Initiative is set to host a one-day Media training on fact-checking false information.
The one-day training is scheduled for tomorrow 3rd November 2022, on the 4th floor of Iddi Basajjabala Memorial Library at KIU Main Campus Kansanga Ggaba road starting from 9 am.
The initiative is destined to equip journalism students with handy skills in discerning false news among other unethical journalism practices.
The fact-checking training will see the participation of at least 70 students across the academic years.
Debunk Media Initiative is a fact-checking organization that seeks to create a world where people can access factual information in real-time through products like videos series and podcasts that aim at breaking the cycle of misinformation and fake news.
