The event was held under the theme “Protecting the Environment in Higher Education Institutions through Proper E-waste Management”.
The prime minister of the Republic Of Uganda, Hon.Robinah Nabanja was the guest of honor represented by Ms.Ketty Lamaro, the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Education.
The event began with aerobics which was perhaps the most interesting part of the whole event with several University administrators showcasing their dance moves before taking to the road to replicate what Cheptegei and company relish most.
Those that did not afford to run were presented with a very interesting option; walking while following a band with our own Prof.Janice D.Busingye emerging among the best walkers of the day.
The University was presented with a certificate of appreciation, for participating in the event and each person who attended was given a tree to go and plant as a commitment to conserving the environment.
