KIU, Main Campus - KIU Titans Coach Raymond Muhumuza has disclosed that his boys are ready to outcompete Namuwongo Blazers in the best of five semifinals Playoffs series that kicks off tonight at 9pm at the MTN Arena, Lugogo.

Raymond Muhumuza confirmed that the whole squad is in good health and mood for tonight's encounter.

"All players are fit and ready to go," he said.

Namuwongo beat KIU in both the first and second rounds of the regular season and will look to inflict more harm to the Titans but this is likely to prove an uphill task as the Titans have now made amends ever since. And according to Coach Raymond Muhumuza, this is a different stage that will need a different approach.

"The boys are ready to go, excited about the semis. The performance of the regular season has little part to play in how we approach this match up in the Semis" he noted.

Asked about the threat posed by the big names, former Titans at Namuwongo, Muhumuza said that basketball is not about individuals but a team.

"It's not about the big names, basketball is a team sport and what matters is how we control the critical moments in the next game,"  he said.

"They are the number one seed so we have huge respect for them as an organization," Muhumuza added.

Congolese international, Amisi Camelo is the man the Titans need to stop if they are to stun the slum boys but also a keen eye must be kept on former Titans players, Ariel Okall and Peter Obleng. However, Namuwongo won't have Joseph Ikong who traveled to the US.

With the aggression of Fidel Okoth Odour, the swiftness of Micheal Otieno, the physique of Henry Okoth and Stanley Mugerwa, the agility of Ahmed Kassa, Edgar Munaba and Joseph Chuma combined with the daftness of Isaiah Mabeny Ater, the Titans are capable of victory in this tie.

KIU Titans tactician, Muhumuza has however called upon the fans to turn up in big numbers and support their beloved team.

"I call upon all Titans Fans to come to support their team. They have a huge part to play in this series," he said.
