KIU Western Campus – The Guild President of KIU Western Campus Brian Rwotomiyo is vying for the post of Uganda National Students Association (UNSA) Speaker in a poll that will take place between December 27 and 30.

Rwotomiyo, who is contesting for the post under the slogan “A Voice for you, A Voice for Action” will come up against two other contestants, one from Makerere University Business School (MUBS) and another one from Gulu University.

The poll will take place during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of UNSA between December 27 and December 30 at the National Leadership Institute in Kyankwanzi and Rwotomiyo was quick to break down his priorities if elected.

“In the year 2017, I was the Deputy General Secretary for UNSA Gulu District Secretariat and one of the challenges which I noted was the communication gap between the UNSA Secretariat and the District Secretariat and is one I shall work upon just in the first 100 days in office,” he says.

“Secondly, I will rise up to ensure the student leaders have their rights protected in their duties  to speak up for students and condemn whatever wrongs that their institutions’ administrators are doing,” he adds.

He also says that this country must witness the genuine face of the students’ liberation whereby their opinions become a matter of concern in the affairs of their institutions, schools and the country at large,

UNSA is a students' organization recognised by the act of Parliament that aims at serving all students of Uganda at post primary level of education .
