KIU, Western Campus – The KIU Pharmacy Students Association (KIUPSA) is organizing its Grand Annual Pharmacy Dinner and Awards Night, which will take place on Saturday, March 26 at Western Meridian Hotel in Bushenyi.

According to the president of KIUPSA Michael Daniel Funda, the event is aimed at providing a platform for presentation of innovative ideas and awareness of pertinent issues in the pharmacy profession.

On the other hand, the purpose of the awards is to celebrate excellent leadership, innovations, lived memories andoutstanding services rendered to pharmacy as a profession.

“The dinner will enhance a productive network and bridge the gap amongst pharmacy students, pharmacy technicians, pharmacists and professional colleagues in the medical fraternity,” Funda says.

The event is open for attendance to mass pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, professional colleagues, pharmacy students, university administrators and delegates from other universities.

There will be corporate entertainment hyped up by a live band, performances from talented pharmacy students, a photo shoot, ballroom dance, red carpet experience and awards ceremony.

Funda promises a blockbuster experience.

“This being our 4th annual dinner, a lot keeps on improving from previous dinners. All I can assure you of is to expect the best experience and memories ever,” Funda says.

“Aside from being KIUPSA president, I am a final year student and this is an event I wouldn’t think of missing because it is one of the last memories to hold as a university student,” he adds.

Tickets go for 48,000 shillings for a single ticket, 90,000 shillings for a couple and 120,000 for alumni.
