KIU's Gerald Muzaare Tables Viva Voce Presentation

KIU, MAIN CAMPUS- Gerald Muzaare a PhD student from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences on Tuesday, September 12th, 2023, presented his Viva Voce presentation.

His study investigated the "Management of Integrated Development Programmes and Rural Development in Ibanda and Kiruhura District, Uganda".

The detailed presentation also covered descriptive, correlation, and survey research designs that were employed on a sample of 314 households.

In the course of Muzaare's research, findings revealed that management of integrated development programmes was generally good and rural development was moderate.

"Further, it was revealed that there was a positive and significant relationship between the management of integrated development programmes and rural development in Ibanda and Kiruhura districts," he added.

Muzaare's study recommends that leaders be further equipped with training to enhance their managerial skills and more so, funds be released in a timely manner for effective implementation of programmes.

He also emphasized in his study that the government ought to put in place conducive policies that encourage the formal credit institutions and support agriculture development in the rural areas.
