KIU Western Campus: On 15th and 16th April 2023, KIU Medical Students in conjunction with the SOZO Dream Foundation with partners, in Agago district, Ligi Ligi county, near the Karamoja sub-region organized a two-days medical outreach program that saw over 700 individuals in the region receive medical attention and care from experts at a free cost.

A team that was led by Jemba Michael Ssenkole a final year medical student at KIU Western Campus, experienced the kindness and generosity of strangers by cutely considering the importance of extending a helping hand to those in need.

"My personal experiences have been a driving force behind my passion for helping others, particularly those who are less fortunate. I believe that it is only fair that we pay forward the kindness that we have received ourselves". Jemba said.

He added that through this medical outreach program, we were able to provide basic medical services to individuals who may not have had access to such care otherwise.

The team of dedicated healthcare professionals worked tirelessly to ensure that each person who came to us received the best possible care and attention. We provided medical consultations, distributed medications, and provided education on basic hygiene and preventative health practices.

Jemba also expressed their pride to have been a part of the outreach, and they believe that it is through such acts of kindness and generosity that they can create a better and more equitable world for all.
