KIU's Michael Jemba Gaze at Promoting UN Sustainable Development Goal 3

Earlier last month KIU's Michael Jemba Senkolle was selected as a Millenium fellow in a program run by United Nations Academic Impact and Millennium Campus Network aiming at training and equipping leaders for social and community impact. 

He was also selected to be the Campus Director of this program at Kampala International University.

His project during this training is focused on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3, "Good Health and Well-being", which is one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals established by the United Nations in 2015. With its sole purpose being to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.

Jemba believes every individual has a role to play to make this world a place better for humanity and above as a team result cause a tremendous impact and his project 

He said his project during the course of this training is focused on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3, "Good Health and Well-being", which is one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals established by the United Nations in 2015. 

With its sole purpose, he hopes this will ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.

Jemba is currently posted in Jinja Regional Referral Hospital in Eastern Uganda for his final year training as a medical doctor and he says that he has realized that there’s a health gap in the remote communities that should be changed. 

He says that he is set out to organize a medical camp as his project towards good health and well-being where they will provide free consultations and prescription, reproductive health services in addition to many more! 

"believe this project will impact at least 300+ people in the remote villages of this community." He said 

Jemba is a medical student with a vision to make the world a better place and he says he can’t do this on his own he, therefore, calls everyone there to join him in his movement to change people’s lives.
