KIUSOMSA Chairman Ali Nur Meets Somali Prime Minister

KIU, Main Campus – Abubakar Ali Nur, the Chairperson of the KIU Somali Students Association (KIUSOMSA) yesterday, August 12th met the Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, His Excellency Mohamed Hussein Roble in Nairobi, Kenya.

Nur (putting on glasses in the photo) was paying a courtesy visit to the prime minister as part of a series of meetings between H.E Roble and the Somali diaspora in Kenya.

Nur told this website that he used the meeting to brief H.E Roble about the situation of the scores of Somali students who attend KIU.

“After receiving a beautiful reception from the prime minister, I have presented him the warm greetings from the staff, students and the entire community of Kampala International University,” Nur said.

“I have also briefed him on the situation of the Somali students studying at the leading private university in Uganda and the deep relationship between the university and the Somali students association,” he added.

Nur said he gave assurances to the prime minister about the commitment of the Office of Dean of Students to strengthen the bonds between the university and the Somali students association.

KIU has a huge number of Somali students at both the main campus in Kansanga and the western campus in Ishaka, Bushenyi.
