KIU, Western Campus - The Lango Students Association of KIU Western Campus recently held a medical camp in Alebtong District, where they offered a range of services.
According to Ray Maxwell Odongo, the Project Manager of the Association, they offered a range of services including general consultation, blood donation, cervical cancer screening, minor surgeries, malaria testing, child health and immunization, maternal health and family planning, HIV/AIDS testing and counseling and health education among others.
The camp was held at Alebtong Health Center IV and the medical team comprised of specialists from the departments of paediatrics, surgery, a Senior Medical Officer, a gynaecologist, a senior nurse, a senior clinician, a pharmacist and students who acted as assistants in rendering these services.
The holding of this medical camp by the Lango Students Association of KIU Western Campus was a noble gesture and good representation for the university, which has always fulfilled its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
