The Federation of Uganda Basketball Association FUBA has released the 2023 fixtures and that is confirmation that the Ugandan National Basketball League (NBL) will be back this Friday 17th, March 2023.

last year's champions and Giants city Oilers will take on KIU Titans in the opening game on Friday at 9 pm at the Lugogo indoor Arena. City Oilers are eight-time defending champions in NBL in Uganda and a match against one this year's contenders KIU Titans is a big statement to the Ugandan basketball Community.

KIU Titans have added stars to the squad and have already won the UCU open to start this year's campaign on a glorious point. Friday’s encounter will be a big test for the boys in green.

 In the women's league, defending Champions UCU Lady canons will play losing finalists last year, JKL Lady Dolphins earlier on Friday evening.

Then during the weekend on Saturday, 18th March, the new entrants in the NBL league 2023 Rezlife will be playing Power as Ndejje University plays KCCA panthers.

  KIU Titans will be fixed with two games in the opening weekend just like the Oilers, where City Oilers will have to play Kampala Rockets in the second game while KIU Titans face JKL Dolphins in Wandegeya on Sunday.

The NBL first leg will commence on Friday 17th, March this week and it will end on 21st May 2023. Both men's and women's NBL leagues will have twelve teams each contrary to the previous seasons when the women had only ten teams in the league. The National Basketball League games will be played at Arenas like MTN Lugogo indoor stadium, YMCA wandegeya, and ABJA park.
