KIU, Main Campus- Team KIU began this year's Association of Uganda University(AUUS) Games campaign with a 3-0 victory over Mountains of the Moon University in Volleyball before falling short in Basketball at the hands of team Ndejje.

 KIU is competing in seven games at this year's games that began on Saturday evening with a captivating opening ceremony featuring fireworks and a series of cultural dance performances.

The games in which KIU is competing include; Basketball, Volleyball, Karate, Table tennis, Lone Tennis, arts and Athletics.

The team will attempt to win gold atleast in each of the games as they continue to seek for the revival of KIU's glory at the University games. The last time KIU dominated the games was in 2003 when it emerged overall best.

On Day Three (Monday 18th December) KIU will be in basketball action at 4 pm, Volleyball at 4 pm and Karate.
