KIU, Western Campus - The KIU Western Campus Chess Consortium has confirmed the School of Pharmacy as the winners of the Inter-Faculty Chess competition 2023.

The School of Pharmacy topped the standings with 315 points out of the available 330 as per the final table by November 25, 2023.

They are followed by the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, last year's champions, who garnered 308.5 points and the School of Allied Health sciences, which has 279.5 points.

Faculty Postgraduate in Engineering Science has 247.5 points and then Faculty of Education collected 233 points with School of Engineering and Applied Sciences coming up with 218.5 points.

Faculty of Biomedical Sciences, Faculty of Business, Faculty of Science & Technology, Postgraduate in Education, Business, Science &Technology, Postgraduate in Health Sciences and School of Nursing Sciences all have zero points. 

The competition was contested by the top 4 players from each Faculty’s tournament. The School of Pharmacy became the campus chess champions and received a trophy for this achievement.
