The mission of the Civil Engineering at KIU is to:

• Create and administer a quality Civil Engineering program designed to educate and graduate students who will be competent in their technical fields, uphold the moral and ethical impact of their professional work and continue their professional development throughout their careers.
• Produce professionals who are creative, innovative, competent and responsible to fulfill the societal and environmental needs in a progressive and sustainable manner that will advance the state of technical and scientific knowledge through research and provide service to civil and professional communities.
