JOB SUMMARY

Project title: Prevention of Adverse Drug Reactions in Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (P-ADR-KD) at KIUTHR, Southwestern Uganda

Aim: Identify factors associated with adverse drug reactions, and develop a locally relevant and acceptable guideline on prescribing drugs in patients with CKD.

Number of Research Assistants Needed: 2

Roles: Obtain informed consent, interview patients, make phone calls to patients, review patient records, counsel patients

Location: Kampala International University Teaching Hospital, Ishaka, Uganda

Duration: 2 months

Qualification required: At least a Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree or Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery; fluent in Runyankore. Previous experiences as a research assistant are an added advantage.

Skills: Good interpersonal communication skills and rapport.
