KIU Western Campus Hosts Successful 5-Day Grant Proposal Writing Training

KIU, Western Campus - The Directorate of Research, Innovation, Consultancy, and Extension (DRICE), in partnership with the Directorate of Grants and Partnerships (DGP), hosted a five-day grant proposal writing training from November 22 to 28. The comprehensive training empowered our researchers and academic staff from various schools, faculties, and research clusters with the skills to craft winning grant proposals.

The training commenced with an engaging session for the KIU-WC Research and Writers Club, led by Assoc. Prof. Patrick M. Aja, Dr. Shanthi, and Dr. Mohammed Dahiru Buhari. The session focused on journal article writing and grant proposal crafting, equipping participants with essential skills.

Subsequent sessions catered to diverse faculties, including Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, Pharmacology, Business, Education, Clinical Medicine, and Engineering. Facilitators tailored these sessions to align proposals with specific funding requirements and research priorities.

At the same time, facilitators expressed optimism about the participants' potential to drive groundbreaking research.
